How long have you been a member of Grace Fellowship?
Charter member in 1988 when membership started – attended since 1987.
What do you do as a career?
I am retired. I was a mechanical engineer. After working for Honeywell for 5 years, I co-founded MicroVision in 1987, which designed and built automated inspection equipment for the semi-conductor industry. We sold the business in 1999. After working for the new owners for a couple of years, I left to focus on family, church, and missions.
Could you tell us about your family?
I have been married to Dawn for 43+ years. We have 3 married daughters, and 7 grandchildren.
Where do you serve at Grace Fellowship?
I serve on the Missions committee, where I am currently leading the Guatemala effort. We are working with business people to help them succeed and build their businesses in order to help left them and their employees out of poverty. The effort is Christ centered and also focuses on their faith. We partner with Partners Worldwide in this ministry.
What are your passions?
Reaching the unengaged / unreached people it the world – which is the focus of Frontiers, a mission organization that if focused on unengaged muslim people groups. I have been on their board since 2006. I also am passionate about getting people out of poverty – which is the focus of Partners Worldwide. I was on their board from 2017 to 2023. I am still on the board of their investment fund.
Why do you want to serve as an elected leader (Elder Board) at Grace Fellowship?
To serve the church where I am able. I have been on the Grace Elder Board, and have been blessed by serving in this position.
